Tribeca Film Acquires Spanish Goya Winner ‘No Rest For The Wicked’

NEW YORK – Sept. 21, 2012 – Tribeca Film has acquired North American rights to award-winning thriller No Rest for the Wicked (No habra paz para los malvados), which is currently screening as part of Fantastic Fest in Austin. The film was the big winner at the most recent Goya Awards —the Spanish equivalent of the Oscars— last February, capturing six prizes, including Best Film. Tribeca Film plans a December release for the film, which is the first outing after an eight-year absence by noted Spanish thriller/film noir director Enrique Urbizu (Box 507, Life Marks). The release will span multiple platforms, including availability on demand in more than 40 million homes through a variety of video-on-demand offerings, as well as iTunes, Amazon Watch Instantly, VUDU and Xbox.
