Bravo Announces Five More Drama Series In Development, Including 'Heathers' Reboot

Bravo continues to beef up its scripted development slate with the announcement of five more projects. The list includes Heathers, a present-day update of the cult 1980s film with writer-exec producer Mark Rizzo and exec producer Jenny Bicks. It was set up at Fox three years ago.

It is joined by The Apartment (working title), about a beautiful Upper West Side apartment rented as a private space for extra-marital affairs; The Darlings (working title), set in Wall Street after the crash of 2008; All American Girl, centered around a female lifestyle magazine across three different time periods; and Rita, a family drama based on a Danish format following an outspoken private school teacher who struggles to raise her own three teenagers. Previously announced Bravo scripted projects include an adaptation of the indie The Joneses, also originally set up at a broadcast network, 22 Birthdays (working title) and Blowing Sunshine. The network, which hired its first scripted executive, Andrew Wang, in March and announced its first scripted projects in April, is yet to greenlight its first scripted pilot.
