Sharon Osbourne Exits WME For UTA

EXCLUSIVE: Sharon Osbourne has signed with UTA for representation in television and film. The Emmy-winning television producer and TV personality and author currently co-hosts the CBS daytime talk series The Talk. But she just made headlines for quitting as a long-time judge on America’s Got Talent. She accused NBC of discriminating against her son Jack and unhiring him from the new reality series Stars Earn Stripes after his multiple sclerosis diagnosis earlier this summer. NBC has denied the discrimination allegation. But the fact is that Osbourne, by departing her series early, remains under contract with NBC which she says can stop her from being a judge on another network for 5 years. Given that, it’s understandable that she is changing agents. But this multitalented and popular TV star should be creating reality or talent shows, not just judging them given all her experience with them.  (more…)
