Lifetime Nears Series Order To Lance Bass Celebrity Yard Sale Reality Series

Lifetime is finalizing a series pickup for Celebrity Sellouts, a reality series from Lance Bass, Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley’s DiGa and Pawn Star producer Leftfield Pictures. This marks DiGa’s second series at Lifetime, along with the reality/scripted hybrid My Life Is A Lifetime Movie, now in production, which is described as an irreverent homage to past woman-in-peril Lifetime original movies that recounts real-life stories as told by the women who actually lived them.

Created by Bass, Celebrity Sellouts is described as “MTV’s Cribs meets Pawn Stars.” It will follow A-list celebrities in their homes as they part with memorabilia, costumes, furniture and tchotchkes, all of which will be auctioned off for charity, with the celebs trying to hit a goal dollar amount. Bass, DiSanto, Gateley and Leftfield’s Brent Montgomery executive produce. Former ‘N Sync member Bass brought the idea to DiGa because of his relationship with former MTV topper DiSanto via the music channel and its Total Request Live program, which DiSanto co-created. DiGa developed it, then brought in Leftfieled as a producing partner because of their Pawn Stars expertise. The project was taken to the RealScreen non-fiction market, attracting multiple potential buyers and eventually setting it up at Lifetime. Eighteen-month-old DigaVision has a slew of series in the works. At MTV, it has partnered with Randy Jackson to produce a siblings singing competition show.
