First Speculative NBC Schedule Surfaces

It is a storied upfront tradition like the Fox and CBS parties and Jimmy Kimmel’s ABC roast — the fake NBC schedules. With NBC first to present its lineup on Monday morning of upfront week — a vestige from old times when the peacock was the No.1 U.S. network — it has become customary to have speculative (and mostly bogus) NBC primetime schedules floating around in the days leading to the network’s announcement. The first such schedule arrived very early this year — we’re barely half-way through NBC’s new series pickups, and the fate on most of the network’s existing series is yet to to be determined. It features several pilots/current series that have not been picked up, at least not yet. It also has The Voice in midseason despite strong indications that the music competition will be launched in the fall this time, and it has nothing about an early August launch, something NBC will definitely will be doing with some series.
