Series 'Harry's Law', 'Banshee' & 'The Secret Life Of American Teenager' Add Regulars

Up-and-comer Justine Lupe, who recently joined the cast of NBC’s sophomore dramedy Harry’s Law as a recurring guest star, has been quickly promoted to regular on David E. Kelley’s sophomore legal dramedy. Lupe, repped by Gersh and Authentic Talent, plays Phoebe, the firm’s vivacious newest hire who is unprepared for the rigors of life at a law firm.

Another young actress, Cierra Ramirez (The Suite Life Of Zach And Cody), has joined the cast of veteran ABC Family drama series The Secret Life Of The American Teenager as a new regular. She will play Kathy, a new freshman who Amy (Shailene Woodley) has been asked to mentor. Kathy lives with her grandmother and is six-months pregnant. Ramirez, who plays the lead in the upcoming movie Girl In Progress, is currently filming her first episode of Secret Life, which is the series’ 100th. In other Secret Life casting news, Michael Grant, who has been recurring as Ricky’s former foster brother Ethan, has been upped to series regular.

Frankie Faison (The Wire) has been cast as a regular in Banshee, Cinemax’s upcoming action drama series executive produced by Alan Ball. The 10-episode series, written by authors Jonathan Tropper and David Schickler, centers on an ex-convict and master thief who assumes the identity of the sheriff of Banshee, PA, where he continues his criminal activities even as he’s being hunted by the shadowy gangsters he had betrayed years earlier. Faison, repped by Innovative and Vanguard Management, will play Sugar Bates, a powerful and wise former boxer and ex-con who is now the owner of the local watering hole.
