The fallout continues from Paramount’s broad revamp back in September, when it restructured several of its divisions, announced the retirement of distribution president Jim Tharp, and moved international boss Andrew Cripps to LA. Cripps eventually decided not to make the move and left, and he was replaced by Anthony Marcoly. Nic Crowley then came aboard as international marketing president. International managing director Chris Hedges left in December, and now Roger Pollock is leaving too. Here’s Paramount’s release:
HOLLYWOOD, CA (January 9, 2012) – Paramount Pictures, a unit of Viacom Inc., today announced that Paramount Pictures International’s Executive Vice President of Distribution and Operation Roger Pollock has decided to leave the studio.
“Roger has been integral in positioning Paramount International as a market leader in global distribution and we are grateful for all he has done. I would also like to thank him for his active and ongoing guidance in the transition of our new team and wish him every success in the future” said Anthony Marcoly, President Paramount International.
In addition, Mark Viane, currently Senior Vice President Distribution – Europe, reporting to Roger, will be returning to Los Angeles as Senior Vice President Distribution – Latin America and Asia/Pacific, and will be providing oversight and supervision for both regions.
