TCA: Paul McCartney Says He Will Meet With Police As Part Of UK Hacking Probe

During a session where he appeared via satellite from Cincinnati to promote his forthcoming 9/11 benefit concert film on Showtime, Paul McCartney admitted when pressed by a questioner that he is among the celebrities in Britain who have been victimized by the computer hacking scandal currently enveloping the UK through Rupert Murdoch and his global media empire. “When I go back (to England) after this tour, I’m going to talk to the police because apparently I have been hacked,” he began. “I don’t actually know much about it, because the police won’t tell anyone but the person themselves. So I’ve been talking to them about that.” McCartney continued, “I do think it’s a horrendous violation of privacy and has been going on for a long time. I feel that more people than we know knew about it, and I think I’ll listen to what the facts are (before I comment further).”
