Disney Plans Virtual Roadshow In Lieu Of Upfront

In lieu of one upfront presentation, Disney Advertising Sales will present a Virtual Roadshow – billed as “a concise and customized presentation for advertising agencies and their clients.”

The 30-minute video showcase is said to leverage Disney’s premium talent, roster of content executives and several video compilations to most effectively and uniquely communicate the Disney proposition for the upcoming year.

Key points of the plan are said to include: Disney Advertising Sales hosting a customized presentation for each agency holding company and their clients from May 26 through June 1 and producing 1 to 3 minute “bonus episodes” with additional detail around areas of interest, including advanced advertising capabilities, data+ programmatic offerings and individual brand showcases.

The presentation (including bonus episodes) will be housed in a password protected section of the division’s trade website for repeat viewing and those those unable to attend the presentation.

The idea is for Disney to showcase its brands, reach and premium capabilities.

The company also plans to bring back some still unspecified Disney traditions the market has come to look forward to from the traditional upfront.
