UPDATE: Shane Gillis has apologized to “Anyone who’s actually offended by anything I’ve said.” The comedian is in hot water as a YouTube video from last year surfaced, featuring him uttering a racial slur against Chinese people.
Gillis was just announced as a new cast member for the upcoming season. NBC has not issued any response to requests for comment.
