David Leitch To Helm ‘Undying Love;’ Graphic Novel Moves To Studio 8

EXCLUSIVE: David Leitch is angling to next direct Undying Love, an adaptation of the graphic novel that Jeff Robinov’s Studio 8 will put into production later this year. The script is by Tommy Wirkola (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Dead Snow). Pic is being produced by Kelly McCormick, Stephen L’Heureux. Robinov will be exec producer.

Leitch, who directed Deadpool 2, John Wick and Atomic Blonde, and most recently Hobbs & Shaw, the Fast and the Furious spinoff that stars Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham and Idris Elba.

Undying Love is an acclaimed series which was purchased by Warner Bros in a crazy bidding war years back with Joe Carnahan and Alex Aja attached.

Set in modern day Hong Kong, Undying Love is full part Chinese folklore meets brilliantly reinvented Vampire lore. An action adventure story set for the ages. The graphic novel is created by Tomm Coker and Daniel Freedman.

Leitch is repped by WME and 87Eleven; Wirkola is CAA and Artists First.
