Victoria Pedretti was fresh out of college when in 2017 Netflix cast her as “Nell” Crain Vance on Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House. On the heels of the horror series’ October premiere, the Internet network has tapped Pedretti as the female lead opposite Penn Badgley on the upcoming second season of the breakout hit psychological thriller series You.
In the Los Angeles-set Season 2, Pedretti will play Love Quinn, an aspiring chef working as a produce manager in a high-end grocery store. Love is uninterested in the world of social media, branding and self-promotion, focused instead on leading an interesting life. She is also tending to a deep grief — and when she meets Joe Goldberg (Badgley), she senses a shared knowledge of profound, life-changing loss.
Pedretti has been a rising star. Since graduating from Carnegie Mellon a year and a half ago, she became a series regular on The Haunting Of Hill House in her first acting job, for which she has been getting a lot of attention. She followed that with roles in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming Once Upon a Time In Hollywood, the Annapurna feature Shirley with Elisabeth Moss and Apple’s anthology series Amazing Stories. She is repped by Gersh and Management 360.
Developed by Sera Gamble & Greg Berlanti based on the book by Caroline Kepnes, You launched as a Lifetime series with Netflix as SVOD/international partner. Starting with Season 2, You will be a Netflix original. The series is produced by Berlanti Productions, Man Sewing Dinosaur and Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Scripted Television. Berlanti, Gamble, Sarah Schechter, Leslie Morgenstein, Gina Girolamo and Marcos Siega are executive producers.
