Kate Walsh will host the 21st annual Costume Designers Guild Awards, which this year is set for February 19 at the Beverly Hilton. The Grey’s’ Anatomy and Private Practice alum will preside over the unveiling of winners in eight film, television, and short form categories.
The top film and TV noms each are split into three categories — contemporary, period and sci-fi/fantasy.
The guild that night will also bestow its Career Achievement Award on Ruth Carter, who is up for a CDG Award and an Oscar this year for Black Panther. Other honorees include Glenn Close (Spotlight Award), Betty Pecha Madden (Distinguished Service Award), and Ryan Murphy (Distinguished Collaborator Award).
Walsh, who most recently starred on Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why and is up next in the streaming service’s The Umbrella Academy, announced her new gig today on Instagram:
