Speaking outside the federal courthouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida this afternoon, after being arrested in a pre-dawn FBI raid on his residence, Roger Stone promised he would be making TV appearances.
Shortly thereafter, Fox News Channel announced Tucker Carlson will interview President Donald Trump’s longtime associate and former campaign adviser Friday night, during which he has promised to “react” some more to his indictment as part of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
“As I have always said, the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about,” Roger Stone smiled as he kicked off a pop-up presser outside federal court in Fort Lauderdale, Florida following his arrest.
About a dozen FBI agents showed up at his house around 6 AM ET, while CNN cameras caught it all on tape.
President Donald Trump’s former campaign adviser was indicted on seven counts by a grand jury out of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office. The indictment says Stone sought Wikileaks’ stolen emails in coordination with Trump campaign bigwigs. That hefty indictment includes one count of witness tampering, one count of obstruction, and five counts of making false statements.
