CAA has signed director Kahlil Joseph, who earned an Emmy nomination for directing Beyoncé’s Lemonade HBO special. The Century City-based agency will rep Joseph in all areas including film, television, digital distribution and partnerships, endorsements, personal appearances, and publishing.

In addition to Beyoncé, Joseph has directed music videos for artists such as Kendrick Lamar, FKA twigs, and Sampha. He also wrote and directed the 2013 Sundance award-winning companion short film for Flying Lotus’ Until The Quiet Comes album. His latest short, Fly Paper, an homage to Harlem and the late photographer Roy DeCarava, made its debut at the New Museum in New York in 2017.

Joseph’s work has been featured in galleries such as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, the Whitney Museum of Art in N.Y., and Tate Modern in London.  He also runs the Underground Museum, a non-profit alternative art space in L.A.

Joseph will continue to be repped by Bloom Hergott Diemer Rosenthal LaViolette Schenkman & Goodman, LLP.
