The Senate is on track to introduce President Donald Trump’s Border Wall proposal today as 800,000 federal workers steel themselves to miss a second paycheck.
Trump, meanwhile, is tweeting about Robert Mueller’s Russia probe and “Fake News” as his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani works to clean up various interviews on same in which he referenced previously unknown tapes and said Trump’s talks with Russians about a Trump Tower Moscow continued until November 2016, aka the month he was elected POTUS.
“The reason Sarah Sanders does not go to the ‘podium’ much anymore,” reads one tweet, “is that the press covers her so rudely & inaccurately, in particular certain members of the press. I told her not to bother, the word gets out anyway! Most will never cover us fairly & hence, the term, Fake News!”
Another missive reads: “Last time I went to Davos, the Fake News said I should not go there. This year, because of the Shutdown, I decided not to go, and the Fake News said I should be there. The fact is that the people understand the media better than the media understands them!”
And there was this: “Marist/NPR/PBS Poll shows President Trump’s approval rating among Latinos going to 50%, an increase in one year of 19%. Thank you, working hard!”
