Bernard White (Silicon Valley) has booked a recurring role on the upcoming third season of TNT’s comedic drama series Claws. The series follows the rise of five treacherous manicurists working at the Nail Artisans of Manatee County salon. White will play Governor Vikram Patel III. Equal parts carnality and ambition, Republican Governor Vikram Patel III is near the tail end of a wildly successful 4-year term when he swings into Desna’s orbit, providing her with the missing piece to a dangerous puzzle. Claws is executive-produced by Rashida Jones, Will McCormack, Janine Sherman Barrois, who also serves as showrunner, and Eliot Laurence, who created the series. Claws is produced for TNT by Jones and McCormack’s Le Train Train, in association with Warner Horizon Scripted Television and Turner’s Studio T. White, who was last seen in Showtime’s Kidding, opposite Jim Carrey, is repped by Greene & Associates Talent Agency.

Phillip Rhys is set for a recurring role on Freeform’s upcoming Pretty Little Liars spinoff The Perfectionists. Rhys will play Michael, a smart and charismatic businessman who is keeping secrets of his own and has a tie to one of the Perfectionists. The spinoff hails from the same auspices as the original series, writer/executive producer I. Marlene King, Alloy Entertainment and Warner Horizon Scripted Television, and it is based on the popular book series The Perfectionists, written by PLL author Sara Shepard. It’s set to premiere later this year. Rhys can currently be seen as Murphy in Syfy’s Nightflyers series. He’s repped by Independent Talent Group in the UK, Karen Forman Management in the U.S., and attorney Darren Trattner.
