APA Promotes Three In Literary Group

APA is upping three in its Literary Group. The agency has promoted Sheryl Petersen and Ryan Saul to co-head the agency’s Motion Picture Literary department, and Lindsay Howard Parker to co-head the Television Literary department.

“Sheryl, Ryan and Lindsay have done a tremendous job in positioning APA as a major player in all areas of content creation,” said APA’s Head of Literary Lee Dinstman in making the announcement. “Through their leadership and expertise, they embody our collaborative team-oriented culture at APA, which has been the foundation of our success and that of our clients.”

“They have exceptional instincts for uncovering and nurturing great talent,” added David Saunders, Executive Vice President of APA’s Literary Group. “Their contributions to the success of the department have been extraordinary.

APA’s television and motion picture literary department’s clients include John and Sandy Carpenter and their Storm King Production; Wes Ball and his OddBall Entertainment; Tiffany Haddish’s She Ready Productions; 50 Cent’s G-Unit; Derek Kolstad (John Wick franchise); Alejandra Marquez Abella (The Good Girls); Mary Harron (Alias Grace); Kenny Smith (Black-ish); Nick Bakay (Mom); Kim A. Snyder (Newtown) and author Caleb Carr (The Alienist).

Petersen joined APA in 2006 after stints at Premiere Artists Agency and Don Buchwald & Associates. She was promoted to senior vice president of the Motion Picture Literary department late last year.

Saul, who joined APA in 2008 after earlier work at Metropolitan Talent and Jim Preminger Agency, was promoted to senior vice president of APA’s Motion Picture Literary department in 2016.

Parker joined APA in 2003 and was promoted to partner in 2015. Both she and Petersen are members of APA’s Diversity & Inclusion Task Force and helped to spearhead the agency’s Women’s Empowerment Group (WE APA) that fosters one-on-one mentorships and facilitates philanthropic work in multiple Los Angeles charities.
