Trevor Noah’s ‘The Daily Show’ To Air Live Post-Trump State Of The Union Speech

Comedy Central

Trevor Noah’s The Daily Show will go live to provide quick commentary on President Trump’s State of the Union address, Comedy Central announced today.

The half-hour telecast at 11 pm ET on January 29 will mark the eighth time Noah and The Daily Show have gone live. Other times include the 2018 Midterm Election night, the 2018 State of the Union address, throughout the 2016 Presidential Election on election night, after the presidential and vice presidential debates, and on the final nights of both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions.

In addition to the live episode, the show’s social media accounts will provide instant reaction, in real time, to the Trump SOTU speech, which follows, by about three weeks, Tuesday’s political speech to the country, in which he is expected to make his case for declaring a state of national emergency to get funding for his southern border wall from the Department of Defense, thwarting Congress.
