Alex Kurtzman’s Secret Hideout Ups Robyn Johnson To Development Executive

Robyn Johnson has been promoted to development executive at Alex Kurtzman’s Secret Hideout. Johnson, who got her start on films such as Cinderella and Edge of Tomorrow, will work with a team headed by Secret Hideout’s president Heather Kadin and Aaron Baiers, SVP of television. The company recently extended its deal with CBS Television Studios through 2023.
Secret Hideout has recently expanded the Star Trek franchise globally to include live-action series, animation, merchandising and more. Most recently announced was the expansion into animation with half-hour adult animated comedy Star Trek: Lower Decks from Mike McMahan (Rick & Morty).
The company currently has several shows in development for multiple distributors including Far Rockaway and Man Who Fell From Earth for Hulu. In addition to development, Secret Hideout produces Hawaii Five-0 and Instinct, and until recently, Salvation and Scorpion, all for CBS.
“Robyn has become an essential part of our creative process, both in her eye for material and her ability to collaborate with artists of all kinds,” said Kurtzman. “We’re so happy to have her on our team as Secret Hideout grows its slate.”
