“His intelligence is off the charts.” So exactly what’s wrong with young Miles? Plenty, it appears.

Here is the first full trailer for The Prodigy, starring Orange Is the New Black‘s Taylor Schilling as the conflicted mom of a boy who just isn’t acting quite right. Check out the video above and the new key art below.

Your logline: Schilling stars as Sarah, whose young son Miles’ (Jackson Robert Scott from It) disturbing behavior signals that an evil, possibly supernatural force has overtaken him. Fearing for her family’s safety, Sarah must grapple with her maternal instinct to love and protect Miles in favor of investigating what — or who — is causing his dark turn. She is forced to look for answers in the past, taking the audience on a wild ride, one where the line between perception and reality remains blurry.

The boy is assigned a special therapist, who soon concludes, “Miles is dangerous.”

Peter Mooney and Colm Feore co-star in the horror thriller directed by Nicholas McCarthy from Jeff Buhler’s script. Tripp Vinson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose) produced The Prodigy, which Orion Pictures will release on February 8. Take a look at the trailer, and tell us what you think.
