‘The Voice’ Grows Toward Finale; ‘Great Christmas Light Fight’s Ratings Brighten

NBC

The final performance episode of the season for NBC’s The Voice (1.6, 9.80M) ranked No. 1 Monday night among Big 4, growing 2/10ths of a rating in the demo to equal its best showing since mid-November.

At 10 PM, NBC’s America’s Got Talent holiday special (1.2, 6.57M) dominated Big 3 derby in both metrics. NBC preemption in New Orleans for NFL football could drag down those stats.

ABC’s 8-10 PM The Great Christmas Light Fight (0.7, 3.87M) got half a million viewers brighter, and 1/10th in the demo, than previous week’s unfortunate move to 10 PM, though it came in dimmer than previous 8-10 PM broadcasts this season.

After which, at 10 PM this week’s ABC 2018: In Memoriam (0.6, 3.95M) fell 2/10ths in the demo, but grew 72K in total viewers compared to last year’s ABC year-end special, the Robin Roberts-hosted The Year 2017 (0.8, 3.877M).

CBS’s The Neighborhood (1.0, 6.06M) equaled its demo low at 8 PM, after which Happy Together (0.7, 4.11M) hit new lows in both metrics. At 9 PM and 10, CBS aired repeats of Magnum, P.I. (0.6, 4.04M) and Bull (0.6, 4.90M).

Fox aired reruns of The Resident (0.4, 2.25M) and 9-1-1 (0.5, 2.33M). Fox stats are subject to adjustment owing to NFL preemption in New Orleans.

NBC (1.5, 8.728M) led the night, followed by CBS (0.7, 4.673M) and ABC (0.7, 3.898M) in the demo, with CBS faring better in total viewers. Fox (0.5, 2.290M), then CW (0.1, 462K) with repeats of Arrow (0.1, 540K) and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (0.1, 390K).
