‘Once Upon A Deadpool’ Online Redirect Upstages ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Trailer Unveiling

A little cyber subterfuge may be underway regarding the new Avengers: Endgame trailer.

It seems that the website touted to hold the much-anticipated trailer, AvengersEndgame.com, will not take you to that clip. Rather, it redirects to 20th Century Fox’s Once Upon a Deadpool, that studio’s upcoming, toned-down re-release of Deadpool 2.

It may be a clever marketing ploy. Once Upon a Deadpool is in theaters Dec. 12, while Avengers: Endgame will not open until April 26, 2019.

Disney, of course, is acquiring certain Fox assets, including the rights to Deadpool, whose star, Ryan Reynolds, is a known jokester.

Right now, the joke is on Avengers fans, who may or may not be amused.
