Steven Williams (Yellowstone) and Christina Kirkman (All That) have joined the ensemble cast of Ambitions, a soapy family drama from producer Will Packer, Lionsgate and Debmar-Mercury. The series starring Robin Givens and Essence Atkins, which has begun production in Atlanta, is set to premiere in 2019 on OWN.
Created by executive producer/writer Jamey Giddens (The Rich and The Ruthless) from an original idea by Packer, Ambitions is a multigenerational family saga centered around one woman (Atkins) who, having recently relocated and intent on revitalizing her marriage, finds herself going head to head with some of the most powerful and deceitful players in the city. The ensemble also includes Brian White, Kendrick Cross, Brely Evans and Erica Page.
Williams will play Stephen Carlisle, a powerful attorney and father of Stephanie (Givens). With credits including 21 Jump Street, The Leftovers, Supernatural, True Detective, The Chi and IT, he is repped by Abrams Artists Agency and Kerner Management Associates.
Kirkman is Lori, a smart, challenging, force to be reckoned with who works as PR exec at Purifoy Pharmaceuticals, owned by her father, Hunter Purifoy. Repped by Eris Talent and PB Management, her credits include All That and the upcoming Night Shadow.
Will Packer is executive producer of Ambitions, and Kevin Arkadie is EP/showrunner. Writer Jamey Giddens and Will Packer Media’s Sheila Ducksworth also serve as executive producers.
