EXCLUSIVE: Original Chicago Fire cast member Eamonn Walker has closed a new deal to return to NBC’s firefighter drama for its just ordered seventh season. As we reported, three original Chicago Fire series regulars, Walker, Monica Raymund and David Eigenberg, were without contacts for next season when the series was renewed earlier this week. I hear Raymund would not be continuing on the show. (Chicago Fire‘s season finale this week included a cliffhanger featuring her character that can accommodate that). I hear Eigenberg is likely to come back but talks with him are yet to begin. UPDATE May 15: Raymund has confirmed her exit from the show.

Chicago Fire producers Wolf Entertainment and Universal TV signed leads Spencer and Kinney for another year earlier this season.

Walker plays Battalion Chief Wallace Boden, who oversees the firefighters and paramedics of Truck 81. Chicago Fire looks into the lives of the firefighters, rescue squad and paramedics of Chicago Firehouse 51 risk their lives week in and week out to save and protect the citizens of their city.

In addition to Chicago Fire, Walker has appeared on all of its spinoffs, Chicago PD, Chicago Med and Chicago Justice. Walker has a long history on NBC. Before Chicago Fire, the Oz alum did stints on ER and Kings. The British actor is repped by ICM Partners and Independent Talent Group.
