EXCLUSIVE: We are hearing reports that Argentinean filmmaker Damian Szifron has been moved off of Warner Bros.’ The Six Billion Dollar ManThe movie, which is set for release on May 31, 2019, was set to go before the cameras in two months.

We understand that Szifron was pulled from the project over creative differences on his script. There also are reports that Szifron was let go due to “a language barrier.” Oh boy.

Six Billion Dollar Man is the Mark Wahlberg project that originally was set up at Dimension. Bob Weinstein had to sell the project to Warners to get working capital for the Weinstein Co. The project was expected to return Dimension to its blockbuster status. Szifron boarded the project three years ago to adapt ABC’s 1970s Lee Majors series for the big screen. Szifron directed the Foreign Language Film Oscar nominee Wild Tales.

TBD on who will take over helming The Six Billion Dollar Man.
