Austin Stowell been set to star opposite Haley Bennett in Swallow, the indie drama written and directed by Carlo Mirabella Davis in his feature debut. The news comes after Stowell, the Battle of the Sexes and Bridge of Spies actor, sealed a role in Hulu’s limited series Catch-22.

In Swallow, Bennett plays Hunter, a young housewife in a seemingly perfect marriage to Richie (Stowell) who develops “pica,” the irresistible urge to ingest inedible objects and material. Mynette Louie and Mollye Asher are producing and shooting is underway.

Stowell is playing Nately, the trail gunner of Yossarian’s bombardier squadron, in Hulu’s six-episode Catch-22, David Michod’s adaptation of Joseph Heller’s classic novel.

Stowell, whose film credits include Whiplash, is repped by CAA and Fourward.
