Holly Wofford and Jane Y. Mun are stepping into the ring as exec producers and showrunners for TKO: Total Knock Out, the obstacle-course competition series with a twist that’s coming to CBS in the summer.
Hailing from Mark Burnett and MGM Television, the 10-episode series is hosted by Kevin Hart, who also exec produces. It features one player racing through daunting obstacles while four other contestants are manning battle stations along the course, firing over-the-top projectiles in an attempt to knock them off and slow them down. It’s an “us versus them” scenario, with the top two players advancing to the final showdown to face off for a cash prize.
“Holly and Jane are incredible producers and have separately worked with me for many years,” Burnett said. “I am thrilled to put them together to lead our TKO team. They are both top-level network showrunners, and I look forward to working alongside these amazing women again.”
Wofford is an Emmy nominee for the 2005 season of CBS and Burnett’s Survivor who also has worked on such series as America’s Most Wanted and Supernanny and developed the American Ninja Warrior format. Mun has worked on series including Lip Sync Battle Live and The Sing Off and produced The People’s Choice Awards and The MTV Movie Awards with Burnett for a decade.
TKO: Total Knock Out is produced by MGM Television and HartBeat Productions and distributed internationally by MGM.
