‘Maine’ Clip: Tribeca Drama Explores Self Discovery, Love In Nature

Nature is a place to disconnect from Instagram, SnapChat, YouTube and all other tech-based distractions of the world so that you can find yourself — which probably makes you more open to newfound love. Written and directed by Matthew Brown, Maine explores exactly that as a married woman named Bluebird (Laia Costa) goes on a hike by herself and connects with a younger man named Lake (Thomas Mann).

In the clip above, we see their flirty food fight while they pick berries. What begins as innocent turns into something more as they get to know each other and then they kiss. Of course, the relationship dynamic changes. Things turn to the romantic as Bluebird and Lake straddle the fine line between their emotional unavailability and undeniable desire as they are surrounded by the picturesque nature of the Appalachian Trail.

Maine makes its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival at 7:15 PM on Monday, April 23 at Cinepolis Chelsea 7.
