SXSW Thriller ‘What Keeps You Alive’ Acquired By IFC Midnight

What Keeps You Alive

EXCLUSIVE: IFC Midnight is acquiring U.S. rights to What Keeps You Alive, the Colin Minihan-directed thriller that had its world premiere last month in the Midnighters section at SXSW.

Hannah Emily Anderson and Brittany Allen star in the pic, which pits a same-sex couple against one another on their one-year anniversary. Minihan co-write the script based on a story by he and Allen, who also composed the film’s score. He also produced via his Canada-based production shingle Digital Interference (Still/Born, It Stains the Sands Red).

“I’m very excited to be working with IFC Midnight on releasing What Keeps You Alive,” Minihan said. “They are at the top of their game and consistently releasing the best the genre has to offer.”

IFC Films/IFC Midnight’s Arianna Bocco negotiated the deal with ICM Partners on behalf of the filmmakers.
