Federation, Drama-Team To Co-Produce ‘The Grave’ From Omri Givon

Paris- and LA-based Federation Entertainment and Israel’s Drama-Team are partnering to co-produce mystery drama The Grave. The series hails from Omri Givon whose When Heroes Fly won the inaugural Canneseries top prize last week. Givon’s previous credits include Hostages, also produced by Drama-Team’s Chaim Sharir and Federation.

Givon writes and will direct The Grave, an eight-part drama that begins shooting in Israel in November. Following an earthquake, three human skeletons are discovered at the bottom of a huge pit inside a nature reserve. Test results indicate that the skeletons are those of individuals who are still alive.

The story centers on a man who has lost the love of his life and the mother of his child. He is a father who desperately wishes his son to know his mother and coupled with his own inability to accept the death of his wife, he slowly becomes a man who would do anything to cheat death. The series will also focus on the hardships and trials of all the characters and the relationships between them. Each holds a secret which will be revealed during the course of the season.

Inspired by films and series like Looper, 12 Monkeys and Lost, the series will stretch from the northern landscapes of Israel to the dirty alleys of south Tel Aviv.

Federation (Marseille, Le Bureau Des Légendes) will handle world rights.
