‘Saturday Night Live’ Ratings Slip To Lows With Host John Mulaney

NBC’s Saturday Night Live took a chance with long-time behind-the-scenes MVP John Mulaney as host this week. While he is also an actor, Mulaney doesn’t have the name recognition of most SNL hosts. Not surprisingly, ratings dropped from last week’s show hosted by Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman.

SNL, featuring musical guest Jack White, drew a 3.9 Live+Same Day rating in the metered market households last night and a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating in the markets with local people meters. That was a new season low in households and ties a season low in the demo, off from last Saturday’s 4.5 and 1.9.

Still, Saturday Night Live was the No. 1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in both metered-market households and 18-49 in the local people meters, topping all primetime programs on those nets in both measures.
