Ken Jeong & Mathilde Ollivier Join Mel Gibson In ‘Boss Level’ Thriller

EXCLUSIVE: The Hangover & Dr. Ken actor Ken Jeong and newcomer Mathilde Ollivier are set to play opposite Mel Gibson, Frank Grillo and Naomi Watts in Boss Level, the Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films’ action thriller directed by Joe Carnahan.

The pic centers on Roy (Grillo), a retired Special Forces veteran who is trapped in a never-ending loop resulting in his death and must figure out who is responsible and stop them. Jeong will play Chef Jake, who runs the restaurant where Roy finds himself every morning as he is forced to re-live a particular day. Ollivier has been cast as the Parisian stunner Gabrielle, a warm, friendly, sophisticated bartender at the Chronos Bar where Roy is a regular. The script is by Carnahan & Chris and Eddie Borey.

Randall Emmett and George Furla are producing the film, which is a co-production of EFO, Carnahan and Grillo’s War Party, and Scott Free, with Jules Daly as exec producer. Highland Film Group has come on board to handle international rights.

Jeong’s forthcoming film slate includes Warner Bros’ comedy Crazy Rich Asians and Goosebumps: Slappy Halloween from Sony. Ollivier, a French actress, model and dancer, will appear in Paramount’s J.J. Abrams-produced horror thriller Overlord.

Jeong is repped by ICM and Aligned Entertainment. Ollivier is repped by UTA and David Littlefield Management.
