Ryan Murphy Says Joan Collins Joining ‘American Horror Story’; ‘ACS’ Lewinsky Installment Nixed

Ryan Murphy

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy has slipped a couple details about the upcoming season of the anthology series, revealing that Joan Collins will be joining the cast for Season 8. (He also indicated he’s interested in Anjelica Huston, so stay tuned on that).

Murphy previously revealed that Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Kathy Bates are returning for AHS season 8, which may be titled Radioactive. No other details are yet known.

In addition, Murphy says an American Crime Story installment on the Monica Lewinsky-Bill Clinton sex scandal is no longer in the works. Murphy announced last year that Season 4 would focus on the scandal, after Fox 21 TV Studios and FX Productions had optioned rights to Jeffrey Toobin’s book A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down A President. While the project was in development, History had already greenlighted its own version.

Murphy made his comments in an interview with THR.
