CBS Regular Schedule Reclaims Top Spot After NCAA Derby Break

After two Fridays off to make way for NCAA championship play, CBS’s regular slate returned Friday to top the night.

Network’s 10 PM drama Blue Bloods (0.9 8.34M) led in total viewers; 9 PM’s Hawaii Five-O (1.0, 7.69M) finished first in the demo. At 8 PM, network’s MacGyver (0.8, 6.38M) paced the hour in both metrics, tying Fox’s Masterchef Jr. (0.8, 6.38M) for the slot’s No. 1 spot in the demo.

At 10 PM, NBC’s Dateline (0.6 demo rating, 0.9 news-demo rating, 3.31 million viewers) beat ABC’s 20/20 (0.4, 0.6, 2.22M) in that hour’s newsmag contest.

CBS (0.9, 7.47M) won the primetime night – its 19th Friday this season in total viewers with regular programming, and its 18th first-place finish among adults 18 to 49. This week, the network more than doubled its closest competitor in viewers, and outdid its closest competitor in the demo by 29%.

Fox (0.7, 2.59M) most closely followed CBS for the night in the demo, while NBC (0.5, 2.78M) came in second in total viewers. ABC (0.5, 2.05M) matched NBC demo-wise. CW (0.2, 977K) brought up the rear.
