Savannah Guthrie Apologizes After Swearing Live On TV

Today show anchor Savannah Guthrie says she’s “so sorry” after she accidentally swore into a microphone she apparently didn’t think was live. Guthrie appeared to be preparing for a segment Wednesday morning as the shot was accidentally broadcast live. You can watch in the video below.

It was quick, but she could be heard saying “Oh s***, sorry guys.” Guthrie continued to to read, looking down at a script. After about 30 seconds, the show cut to a Lexus promo.

Guthrie took to Twitter right away to apologize for the error.

“Check, check — is this thing on? Yeah I guess it is. So sorry guys,” she wrote. “Thanks for being kind and understanding. And guess it’s [a] good thing I don’t wear a mic all day. #ohdarn.”
