Brandon Flynn, Julia Goldani Telles & Ki Hong Lee To Topline Dark Comedy ‘Looks That Kill’ For American High

EXCLUSIVE: Brandon Flynn (13 Reasons Why), Julia Goldani Telles (The Affair), and Ki Hong Lee (Maze Runner franchise) are set to lead the American High’s third feature, Looks The Kill, the feature directorial debut from Kellen Moore, who also penned the screenplay. Will Phelps, Glen Trotiner, Austin Sepulveda, and Jeremy Garelick are producing the pic, which will go before cameras this month.

The film tells the story of sixteen-year-old Max Richards who is forced to live with a lethally attractive face.

“I’m incredibly excited to invite audiences to visit the bizarre and uniquely wonderful town of Blegh, Massachusetts,” said Moore. “This is my first feature so I better not screw it up. But even if I do, give me a fresh rating on rotten tomatoes please.”

American High, a newly formed partnership between Jeremy Garelick and Mickey Liddell’s LD Entertainment, will fully finance the feature.

In addition to Season 2 of the Netflix drama 13 Reasons Why, Flynn will appear in the upcoming season of HBO’s True Detective starring Mahershala Ali. Telles recently made her film debut in Most Likely To Murder, which premiered at SXSW, while Lee can be seen in Fox’s Maze Runner: The Death Cure, the last installment in the film series.

Flynn is repped by UTA and Anonymous Content; Telles by UTA, Principal Entertainment, and Hansen Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman; Lee by Stone Manners Salners Agency, 3 Arts Entertainment and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman.
