Missing NBCUniversal Employee Julia Kebbel Found Safe – Update

UPDATED, 2:45 PM: Julia Kebbel, the NBCUniversal director of promotions who went missing nearly two weeks ago in Los Angeles, has been found safe and reunited with her family. Her sister, Fifty Shades Freed and UnReal actress Arielle Kebbel, issued a statement today via social media:

“It is with great joy and relief that I share the wonderful news that my sister, Julia, and her dog, Cindy, have been found safe. While we do ask for privacy at this time, my family and I want to thank everyone for all of your love and support over the past two weeks. We are so grateful to every single person who helped spread the word and joined us in our search. We would also like to thank the Los Angeles Police Department, KlaasKIDS, SERT Ministries and Anonymity Rescue for their efforts in bringing Julia home.”

PREVIOUSLY, February 7: Family, NBCUniversal co-workers and celebrities are asking for help in locating Julia Kebbel, the sister of actress Arielle Kebbel (Fifty Shades Freed), who has been missing since going out for a walk with her dog January 31. The Los Angeles Police Department told Deadline that it has no more information about the case or the missing woman, a director in the promotions group at Universal Pictures.

According to police, the petite bleached blonde was last seen walking her chocolate Lab, Cindy, in the 1900 block of Golden Gate Avenue near Effie Street in the Silver Lake area. She is not known to have medical issues. The dog is microchipped. KTLA-TV reported that neighbors said firefighters discovered fires in two rooms in her apartment and that her purse and phone were left behind.

Significant marks include tattoos on both of her forearms — one is a spiritual symbol of a key and the words “Promise” on one arm, and a blue Phoenix rising on the other. Amy Schumer tweeted out to spread the word to find her.
