2nd Update, 12:03PM: Sources inform Deadline that Star Wars: The Last Jedi star John Boyega has found a ship, err plane, out of Atlanta’s snow storm and is expected to make it to the Hollywood premiere tonight at the Shrine Auditorium. Five-to-twelve inches of snow have dumped on Atlanta’s metro area with the Hartsfield-Jackson International airport, on the city’s southwest side, receiving more rain than snow according to the Weather Channel. Conditions tonight at the start of the premiere will be mostly clear at 71 degrees.

1st Update: Light sabers and stormtroopers couldn’t stop actor John Boyega in his Star Wars appearances. But his face-off with Mother Nature is not going as well.

Boyega just tweeted that he can’t get out of Atlanta for the Hollywood premiere tonight of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. A snow storm has dumped six inches of white powder on Atlanta, which rarely sees any significant accumulations and is ill-prepared to cope with such weather. The storm has snarled air traffic throughout the nation, causing numerous flight cancellations.

The 25-year-old actor plays Finn, a reformed stormtrooper who escapes to join the Resistance.

Use The Force, John.
