Fox has put in development Breadwinners, a single-camera comedy from actor Kyle Bornheimer (Casual, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), who is set to star, and Where’s the Money co-writer Ben Sutor.

In Breadwinners, written by Bornheimer and Sutor, when an out of work dad (Bornheimer) decides to try and reinvent himself as a chef, he tumbles head first into the wild world of the current foodie revolution, dragging his family along with him.

Bornheimer and Sutor executive produce with Amy Slomovits and Brady McKay (Idiotsitter) via Haven Entertainment and Trevor Engelson (Snowfall) via Underground. 20th Century Fox Television is the studio.

Underground has two series on air, drama Snowfall at FX, which has been renewed for a second season, and the upcoming Paramount Network dramedy Heathers. They also have a buzzy untitled Divorce Comedy set at Fox with a put pilot commitment. Haven has the comedy Wrecked on TBS.

Bornheimer, who has recurred on Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Hulu’s Casual, recently did guest stints on NBC’s Will & Grace and ABC’s Modern Family. He is repped by Gersh and Haven Entertainment. Sutor made his feature writing debut with the recently released comedy Where’s the Money starring Terry Crews. He is with UTA and Underground.
