Patton Oswalt Returning To Host WGA Awards In L.A.

Patton Oswalt has been set to return as host of the WGA Awards in Los Angeles for a third year in a row. The ceremony is set for February 11 at the Beverly Hilton and runs simultaneously with the guild’s NYC-set awards show.

Yesterday, the WGA said Amber Ruffin, the writer/on-air personality on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, will host the East Coast show at the Edison Ballroom in New York.

Former Saturday Night Live writer Hugh Fink returns for a fourth year to executive produce the WGA Awards. The creative team includes head writer Joe O’Brien, producers Tara Power and Joselyn Allen of Decoupage Productions and co-producer Kelly Brock.

The WGA is unveiling its nominees in TV, new media, radio, news, promotional writing and graphic animation categories Thursday. Its film and documentary noms will be announced January 4.
