Marin Ireland To Star In ‘The Man In The Woods’; Jordan Belfi Cast In ‘Foster Boy’

Sneaky Pete actress Marin Ireland is set to star in The Man In The Woods, an indie film from director Noah Buschel, which just began filming today at the New York Military Academy in New York. The film, set in 1963 Pennsylvania when Jean Fenny, the head of the high school drama club, goes missing out in the woods. Her friends, along with a maverick poetry teacher, a busted quarterback, a shunned ex-cop, and a misunderstood dowager, agree to go search for her. As they do, they confront the lies, ghost stories, and cover-ups that their idyllic school was built on. Jane Alexander, Sam Waterston, Odessa Young, Jack Kilmer, Kevin Corrigan, William Jackson Harper, Emily Cass McDonnell, Gus Birney, John Ventimiglia, Jessica Carlson, Devin Druid, Michael Panes, Jay Jay Warren, and Quinn Shephard round out the cast. Mandy Ward is producing the project while Anthony Arkin, Bruce Edward Hall, and Rodrigo Lopresti serve as exec producers.  The film marks the fourth collaboration between Ireland and Buschel. The two previously worked together on The Phenom, Sparrows Dance, and Glass Chin, which Ireland was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award. Ireland is repped by ICM.

Jordan Belfi (Entourage, Code Black) is joined the cast of indie film Foster Boy, which follows attorney Michael Trainer at the center of a trial in which a for-profit corporation, contracted by the state to provide foster children safe homes, instead places a known sex offender into the same home as the young client, with catastrophic results. Belfi joins previously announced cast Matthew Modine, James Earl Jones and newcomer Shane Paul McGhie in the film. The script is by attorney-turned-screenwriter-and-producer Jay Paul Deratany based on his experience as a Chicago litigator. Youssef Delara is directing the pic, which is currently in production. Deratany, Peter Samuelson, Anne-Marie Mackay, and Andrew Sugerman are producing while John Schimmel, and Thom and Matt Lipari serve as exec producers. Belfi is repped by Mark Schumacher Management and Global Artists Agency.
