‘Girls’ Season 6 Teaser: First Look At The Final Season

We’re getting the first look at the final season of Girls.

HBO has dropped a Season 6 teaser that reveals a not-so-happy foursome — Hannah (Lena Dunham), Marnie (Allison Williams), Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) and Jessa (Jemima Kirke) — having a “group meeting” that none of them wants to have.

It’s actually a continuation of tensions that erupted last season, including Jessa getting romantically involved with Hannah’s ex Adam. Jessa tries to make up, but Hannah is not interested. “I don’t think we ever acted like friends,” says Hannah. We also see Hannah with some comforting words for a sobbing Marnie: “It can be pretty hard to have observations about other people when you’re only thinking about yourself… I would know.”

Creator and star Dunham announced in January that the sixth season would be the show’s last. The show’s premise and major aspects of the main character were drawn from Dunham’s own life. While never a big ratings draw, the series has had a major cultural impact.

The sixth and final season launches Sunday, February 12, on HBO.
