Freeform has put in development half-hour comedy It’s Not You, from Adam and Naomi Scott’s Gettin’ Rad Productions, and former Californication executive producer Gina Fattore.
Written by Fattore, It’s Not You is about the horrors and struggles of being single in a world completely designed for couple. Fattore also executive produces with husband-and-wife producing duo Adam and Naomi Scott via their Gettin’ Rad Productions.
Fattore served as an executive producer on Californication, co-executive producer on Gilmore Girls and Dawson’s Creek, and has written episodes of Parenthood, Red Band Society and most recently Better Things. She’s repped by WME.
On the feature side, Gettin’ Rad next will premiere its film Fun Mom Dinner at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. The company’s 2016 Sundance entry, Other People, recently received four 2017 Independent Spirit Award nominations, for best first feature, best first screenplay for Chris Kelly, best male lead for Jesse Plemons and best supporting female for Molly Shannon.
On the TV side, through its first-look deal at Universal TV, Gettin’ Rad has set up several series projects, an NBC comedy toplined by Other People co-star J.J. Totah, written by David Monahan and Danielle Hoover; comedy Donuthead, also at NBC, written by Irene Mecchi and Bridget Terry; as well as comedy The Dalles at HBO written by Anthony King. Gettin’ Rad is repped by WME, Rise Management and attorney Wendy Heller.
