Verve TV Coordinator Matthew Doyle has been promoted to agent.  Per Verve tradition, Doyle was given the news via an elaborate prank. The announcement was made during Verve’s annual holiday party, held at Perch restaurant in downtown LA on Monday.

Partner Adam Weinstein, who planned this year’s party, secretly enlisted the help of the parents of every Verve agent for a holiday video. In it, they describe what it means to be an agent based on observing their kids — a lot of lunch meetings, constantly reading scripts and talking on the phone too much (but not to their parents) — offer words of advice to their offspring and pinpoint the moment that they knew their child had what it took to become an agent. In a bonus scene after the end credits of the video, which was payed at the conclusion of dinner, Doyle’s parents chimed in, announcing to him that he was being promoted to agent. Here it is:

Doyle joined Verve in January of 2016. He came from WME where he was an agent trainee and worked for Simon Faber, Marc Korman and David Stone.
