‘This Is Us’ Sets Live+3 Ratings Records For Fall Finale

NBC’s breakout series This Is Us has set more ratings records in Live+3 with its latest telecast.
The December 6 fall finale scored a best-yet 4.49 rating in adults 18-49 and 15.4 million viewers in L+3, according to Nielsen. That tops the prior This Is Us L+3 ratings record, (4.22 set on October 11), and the 15.4 million beats the previous total-viewer record set one week earlier (14.4 million for the November 29 telecast).

The episode also delivered the second-biggest L+3 lift ever for a Tuesday telecast on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, and the biggest L+3 lift ever for a Big 4 Tuesday show in total viewers, according to NBC and Nielsen.
In 18-49, the December 6 episode was up 1.67 points in L+3, the second-biggest ever for a Tuesday Big 4 series (in records dating back to January 2007), behind only the 1.78 for the September 24, 2013, series debut of ABC’s Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The total-viewer lift of 4.426 million is the highest ever for a Tuesday series on the Big 4 networks.
In Live+Same Day, the December 6 fall finale scored a next-day 2.82 in 18-49 and 10.949 million viewers overall, new series records in L+SD.
