‘Kingdom’ Adds Kirk Acevedo In Season 3 As Production Begins


12 Monkeys star Kirk Acevedo has signed on for a recurring role in Season 3 of Kingdom, Byron Balasco’s praised martial arts drama series. Production has begun for a spring premiere on AT&T Audience Network.

The series stars Frank Grillo as a former mixed martial arts fighter trying to keep his gym in business. Kiele Sanchez, Matt Lauria, Jonathan Tucker, Nick Jonas and Joanna Going also will return to reprise their roles. Acevedo will recur as a former fighter and new coach at Navy St. MMA gym. Creator, writer and showrunner Balasco serves as exec producer.

Acevedo is shooting Season 3 of the hit Syfy series 12 Monkeys. He recently wrapped filming Blumhouse’s Insidious: Chapter 4, which hits theaters next year. Other television credits include The Walking Dead, Prime Suspect, Band of Brothers and Oz. He is repped by Abrams Artists Agency and managed by Stacy Abrams.
