‘Legion’ Sets Debut Date For FX Marvel Series, Drops New Trailer

We knew that Legion was coming in February next year on FX and today we have an exact debut date plus a new trailer for the Marvel series from Noah Hawley.

The Dan Stevens-starring show will premiere on February 8 at 10 PM, the cabler announced today as they offered a fresh look at the mutant drama.

Based on the X-Men character created by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, Steven’s David Haller/Legion has been diagnosed as schizophrenic for the voices and more he hears and sees – emphasis on the powerful more BTW. Set in an alternative universe from the Marvel franchise, Steven’s character has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years but an encounter with a new fellow patient reveals the diagnosis might have come up a bit short of the reality and power of Legion.

Produced by FX Productions and Marvel TV, Legion also stars Rachel Keller, Aubrey Plaza, Fargo alum Jean Smart, Katie Aselton, Jeremie Harris, Bill Irwin and Amber Midthunder. Lauren Shuler Donner, X-Men director Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg, Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb, Jim Chory and John Cameron are executive producers along with Hawley on the series.
