Maureen McCormick has been tapped for guest-starring role on Greg Garcia’s upcoming comedy series The Guest Book, set to premiere in 2017 on TBS. Written and executive produced by Garcia, the series is based on his experience writing strange stories in vacation guest books for future renters to read. The show will feature a main cast with each episode revolving around the new guest renters in town. McCormick’s role will be incorporated into the story line of guests renting a vacation home in a small mountain town. McCormick competed on this season’s Dancing With the Stars. She was eliminated in week 7 but will return for the live season finale on November 22. She’s repped by Pure Arts Management and Sovereign Talent Group.

Lucas Jade Zumann (Sense8) has been cast in the upcoming Netflix/CBC drama series Anne, produced by Northwood Entertainment. Based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic novel Anne of Green Gables, the coming-of-age series set in 1890 will focus on a young girl who, after an abusive childhood spent in orphanages and the homes of strangers, mistakenly is sent to live with an elderly spinster and her aging brother. Over time — and thanks to her unique spirit, fierce intellect and brilliant imagination — 13-year-old Anne will transform their lives and eventually the small town in which they live. Zumann will play Gilbert Blythe, a fellow classmate and Anne’s academic rival. Zumann is repped by Paonessa Talent Agency.
