Leonardo DiCaprio-Produced Docuseries ‘Frontiersmen’ Set At History

History has given the green light to Frontiersmen, an eight-hour documentary series produced by Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way Productions and Stephen David Entertainment.

Frontiersmen will follow the stories of iconic American pioneers such as Daniel Boone, Lewis & Clark, Tecumseh, Davy Crocket and Andrew Jackson as they set forth across untamed land. The series will span the 75-year period from the post-Revolutionary War through the California Gold Rush, showing how the frontier helped shape us from colonists into today’s Americans. DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson will executive produce for Appian Way, along with Stephen David.

“During these years, America went from the opportunity of land to the land of opportunity and it was a bloody struggle throughout,” said Paul Cabana, EVP and Head of Programming History. “From Crockett to Boone, we’ll tell the bold stories of these adventurous trailblazers who explored the uncharted wilderness and became the icons we know today.”

Kristen Burns and Russ McCarroll are executive producers for History. A+E Networks holds worldwide distribution rights. WME reps Stephen David Entertainment.
